La creatività è il motore di questo luogo perchè questo luogo offre infinite possibilità di esprimere l'arte che è in ognuno di noi.
"Riciclare" è un verbo che ci piace tanto e qui abbiamo trovato di tutto! Antichi macchinari e portoni, ferro, legno, pietre....e anche la natura stessa con i suoi corsi d'acqua invitano a creare giardini fantastici!
Uno speciale benvenuto ai riciclatori ed agli artisti di ogni sorta!!

“Recycling” is a word that we like very much and we have found di tutto!
Antique machinery and doors, iron, wood, and rocks…and even nature itself with its flowing streams invite you to create your own incredible gardens!

Spazio gruppi / Seminary house

Ospitare gruppi e seminari è nei nostri programmi. Per questo stiamo lavorando alla realizzazione di una grande sala e di una grande cucina che prevediamo essere pronte nei prossimi mesi.
Vi aggiorneremo!!
Oltre alla sala abbiamo già a disposizione una bellissima terrazza panoramica di 120 m2 e diversi angoli suggestivi in giardino

As we plan to host groups and seminars, we are currently working on the reconstruction of a large room for activities and a large kitchen that will be ready in the months ahead.
We’ll keep you posted!!
In addition to these rooms, we have already finished a beautiful terrace with a panoramic view of the surrounding Simeto valley (120 m2) and various interesting parts of the garden.

Azienda BIO / Organic Farm

E' solo nella Valle del Simeto che crescono le Arance a polpa rossa che coltiviamo assieme a Mandarini ed Olive, mentre la macchia mediterranea ci regala spontaneamente Mandorle, Fichi, Fichi d'India e Melograni. Un piccolo orto produce invece i vegetali per uso casa.

In giro per i giardini è facile imbattersi in galline, oche, papere e "Peter e Heidi", una simpatica e curiosa coppia di asinelli nani che ci aiutano a trasportare le ceste con le arance e le olive.

Si incontrano anche tanti personaggi particolari: sono i Wwoofers, lavoratori volontari in aziende Bio nel mondo. .....e noi siamo associati al WWOOF Italia e molto grati a questo movimento!

Da dicembre ad aprile vendiamo a diversi GAS olive in salamoia, l'olio extra vergine e i nostri agrumi (arance e mandarini) in casse da 30 kg

It is only in the Simeto Valley that blood red oranges grow together with mandarine oranges and olives, while the Mediterranean soil spontaneously gives us almonds, figs, figs of India, and pomegranates. Our small vegetable garden produce vegetables that we use for meals.
Around the gardens you will run into chickens, geese, ducks, and “Peter and Heidi,” a cute, curious couple of dwarf donkeys that helps us with transporting baskets of oranges and olives.
You will also meet many unique characters here: the WWOOFers, who are voluntary workers on organic farms all over the world…and we are associated with WWOOF Italia and are very grateful to this movement!
From December to April we sell olives, extra vergin olive oil, and oranges.

Ospitalità / Hospitality

Dormire
Da quest’anno La Casa si è aperta all’ospitalità. Il nostro progetto non è ancora completo ma abbiamo realizzato degli spazi da poter condivider con amici e viaggiatori.
Disponiamo di 5 camere con bagno nella casa padronale, 3 grandi Teepe matrimoniali forniti di letti e spazio per tende all’ombra degli ulivi.
La zona camping/tepee è fornita di bagni e docce e nei pressi c’è anche una piccola piscina 3x6 per rinfrescarsi nelle ore più calde.

Mangiare
La nostra cucina è vegetariana, prevalentemente Bio e usiamo gli ortaggi del nostro orto o di quello dei vicini.
La prima colazione è compresa nell’ospitalità; pranzo e cena su richiesta, si consumano assieme agli abitanti della casa.

Meditazione / Meditation

Ci piace meditare (...anche se non sempre ci riesce!) ed avere intorno chi ama questa pratica.
La "visione" che ci accomuna è quella di un luogo dove meditazione, yoga, tai-chi, danza, possano diventare quotidiane. Qui la natura e l'acqua che scorre creano le condizioni ottimali per entrare in contatto col proprio spirito.
Un caldo benvenuto a tuti coloro che vogliano condividere le loro conoscenze e portarle in questo luogo!

We like to meditate (…even though we don’t always succeed!) and to be surrounded by others who enjoy this practice.
We have a vision to create a space in which meditation, yoga, tai-chi, and dance can become daily activities. The nature and the flowing water here create ideal conditions for getting in touch with your true spirit.
The spectacular terrace is a great spot to gather at sunrise and sunset.
A warm welcome to all colors who want to share their knowledge and experience and bring them to this space!

La Casa delle Acque / The House of Waters

“La Casa”, una Masseria Siciliana, è costituita dalla casa padronale e da diversi fabbricati costruiti in pietra alla fine dell’Ottocento un tempo adibiti a stalle , magazzini,stanze per i coloni,un frantoio ed una fornace per cuocere i mattoni. La Casa Padronale, al centro della corte, domina dalla sua terrazza le costruzioni circostanti che si affacciano sulla vallata del fiume Simeto.
Dalle pendici dell’Etna affiorano diverse sorgenti che in questa zona si riuniscono nella corsa verso il fiume formando picolo torrenti e cascatelle che passando al centro del podere alimentano il nostro sistema d’irrigazione.
Questo sistema di irrigazione, tramandatoci dalla cultura araba, prevede lo scorrimento delle acque attraverso canali(saie) e solchi scavati a mano, con un sistema di deviazione delle acque attraverso degli sbarramenti(zappeddi) fino a bagnare ogni singola pianta nella quantità dovuta.
Questo metodo,giocato tra il caldo torrido dell’estate siciliana e la frescura dell’acqua che scorre tra gli aranci, offre affascinanti momenti di pura medit-azione.

“La casa” is a traditional Sicilian farm house constructed in stone at the end of the 19th century. It consists of the main house and outbuildings and at various times has been used as a stables, warehouse, facilities for the production of olive oil and a kiln for making bricks.

The spectacular “terrazza” located on the west side of the house, offers a panoramic view of the volcano, the valley of the Simeto river and looks out on the orange and olive groves.

From the slopes of Mount Etna waters converge on their journey to the river forming streams and small waterfalls that pass through the centre of the farm feeding the irrigation system.
The system of irrigation passed down from the Arabic culture provides water flowing through a system of channels and ditches dug by hand, and uses gates which divert the water so that every single plant receives the right amount of water.This method plays an important part in the intense heat of the Sicilian summer and the water that flows among the orange groves offers charming moments of pure meditation.
